Trade Union of Workers in Education and Science in Slovakia

The Trade Union of Workers in Education and Science in Slovakia is a professional trade union of trade union organisations, education employees (teaching, non-teaching and professional staff) and other citizens regardless of profession, gender, nationality, religion or political affiliation, who identify with the union’s programme and statutes. The Education Trade Union is an independent civic association established on the basis of free trade union organising.

It currently brings together more than 47,000 members within around 2,300 organisations, making it one of the largest trade unions in Slovakia. OZŠ is a founding member of the Confederation of Trade Unions of the Slovak Republic and the European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE).
